Empower Me Day Camp, A nonprofit corporation, was
established in 1999 by a group of pediatric therapists to address the
lack of adequate opportunities for children with disabilities in the
greater Nashville area. Through our work with these children in the
local school systems and through various volunteer commitments, it
became apparent there were limited programs available to this
population. This nonprofit organization operates three different
programs, the Summer Day Camp, the Empowering Through Education Program,
and the Empowering Opportunities Program. Each of these programs are
led by therapists and teachers who have specialized training in working
with children with various disabilities. Our goal is to empower these
children through creating new and exciting opportunities to enhance the
quality of their lives.
